In short "Odessa underground" is...
One of my favorite places in Odessa is catacombs. There are entrances in it in the city and near it, it’s not save to go there along so I’ll tell only that there is a museum in Nerubajskoe (85, 90 bus from the rail-way station). If you want to see more yourself ask HC members to show you around, a lot of them know save ways.
In short "Odessa underground" is hundreds of kilometers of underground roads that arose during the period of building of the city 200 years ago, when building stone was extracted. There are a lot of legends and myths about the catacombs. They gave shelter to homeless people; smugglers and thieves used them; partisan headquarters were located here during the Great Patriot War.
